Welcome to Find Toby in PA – A Community Dedicated to Reuniting Lost Pets.

Find Toby in PA began in 2012 as a simple Facebook page with one goal: to reunite a lost dog named Toby with his owner. What started as a local search quickly grew into a community movement. Over 16 days, complete strangers became dedicated volunteers, working together to bring Toby home safe.

After Toby's successful reunion, the team saw the powerful role social media could play in pet recovery. They decided to keep the page going—transforming it into a trusted resource for helping lost pets across Pennsylvania and beyond.

As demand grew, volunteers stepped up by donating funds and hosting fundraisers to purchase humane traps, trail cameras, and other tools to aid in search efforts. In 2015, this dedicated mission led to the creation of Smart 4 Paws, Inc., which became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2016.  Smart 4 Paws, Inc does business as (DBA) Find Toby in PA.

Today, the Find Toby in PA Facebook page is run by a volunteer admin team from 8 AM to 10 PM daily. With over 128,000 followers and more than 16,000 pets helped in 2024 alone, we continue to grow and serve communities throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states.

Smart 4 Paws, Inc. is guided by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, united by our mission to bring lost pets home.
