Find Toby in PA is a Facebook page that began in 2012 for the sole purpose of reuniting an owner with his lost dog. Toby’s sixteen-day journey turned a community of strangers into dedicated volunteers working together to bring him home safe. Once this mission was completed, they recognized the value social media offered in the area of pet recovery and chose to utilize the page’s already established platform to assist other lost pet owners.

As the requests to assist with lost pets increased, the volunteers donated money and fundraised to purchase humane traps and trail cameras to aid in lost pet recovery. The team has gathered a wealth of knowledge, information, and tools and in 2015, a parent organization was founded called Smart 4 Paws, Inc.

 

Smart 4 Paws, Inc. obtained 501c3 nonprofit status in 2016. The Find Toby in PA Facebook page is part of the Smart 4 Paws, Inc organization and continues to operate through a team of page administrator volunteers from 8am to 10pm every day with over 97,000 followers as of 2023.

Smart 4 Paws, Inc. is lead by an all-volunteer Board of Directors who steer the organization to pursue our mission of bringing lost pets home. We continue to grow, learn, and serve Pennsylvania and our neighboring states.
